Three lawyers dressed like Harriet Meirs just came to my door and served papers on me. Mrs. God, you are a spiteful BA! If that weren't enough, Darth Vader and Batman showed up with Cinderella and I'm going nuts cause Darth pulled some sort of weapon on me and demanded all of my candy. Now what will I do when Spider Man shows up? Where are my pills and my rubber room?
BTW, does anybody know how much we get paid an hour for blogging? I haven't gotten a check yet.
OMG, Bush and Clinton are at my door and I have no candy... Send help!

Happy Halloween everyone. Yesterday I had some great laughs with some of the other bloggers - thanks for the good times guys - and went out looking for some more for this fine Halloween day in the sunny southwest. As Scratch says "Booo."
So, today's suggestion is Topaz and "A good laugh is great Medicine!" I feel like her "Tomcat" after all that laughing last night!.
Don't let the ghosts and goblins get you.
I'll be hiding from Diddy when I put my Heffer costume on.

Like any good blog stalker would do, I've been cruising around and reading other people's blogs this morning. You know, I just realized what a great job this blog is doing for my self-centered way of life! Well, I have probably realized this before and just forgot. My awareness seems to come in stages.
I've read some fantastic blogs this morning - even some poetry, which I don't often understand very well. Maybe knowing something about the poets makes their work have more meaning because that element of being real is there. Anyway, a long way of saying that I am also enjoying the poetry.
The terms "village" and "community" are thought provoking this morning in a couple of blogs and I have related them back to my own blogging world.
I created my blog because I felt like a stalker treading softly through the dark night and reading other people's blogs or guestbooks. During my travels I have seen some great writing, depth of thought, humor, sadness, human struggles and Internet relationships grow into bonds of true caring. I've also seen poorly written blogs filled with anger and prejudice. And I've come across true real life stories that filled my heart and have kept me returning for more. And, I ran across one story that looked good on the outside but crumbled apart when I went inside and took a look around. (See second post)
I meant to do much writing about the disappointments and give poor reviews to blogs that didn't measure up to my standards. Fortunately, I've written mostly positive comments and have added to a community I feel fortunate to be a part of. I've also had the opportunity to explore humor and to have fun. Humor wasn't a part of the world I grew up in and I considered it to be a waste of time. Now, I'm addicted to a good laugh. The writers on Blogstream have truly added a positive light to my life.
Unfortunately, I've been engaged in a bit of a village battle for the past day. Early on in the blog I wrote a story about someone whose actions didn't seems to equal their words. I wrote about this story because I spent 3 months checking into the facts and going out to find the truth. The story became a bit of an obsession because the person is profiting from what they claim to be doing. But, I didn't start out to prove the person had lied to me - I started out to add more to a story that positively captured the imagination of thousands of people. What I discovered made me angry and sad. I had to write about my findings and will probably write more in the future.
Yesterday, the person I wrote about found my blog. As he often does in his guestbook, he mocked and ridiculed. For some reason, my hackles went up at this apparent display of smug arrogance - and about having my veracity challenged. I responded in kind at first. I don't like that about myself. Fellow blogsters have taught me about "good will," and about rising above the ugliness. I don't do this perfectly but am trying to increase my awareness and do better with each day. I have elected to keep my posts as they are and not cover up my slip in judgment.
In my blog posts yesterday, I had the blessed fortune of writing about two wonderful and involved bloggers and also about another man with a similar story of trying to change his life. I got to write about the fatmancycling.com in a positive light, which felt good. I do hope other bloggers get a chance to check this guy out because he has much heart and humor in the face of a difficult situation - something that everyone can take hope from.
Well, those are my thoughts for today. A blog stalker shouldn't necessarily reveal himself in such a human way, but this one has heart - much to his dismay.
Happy weekend blogging everyone.
